A plain note for the private test · 22 October 2026

Life of Bonsai is in a small, private test. We keep only what the game needs to grow your garden and to keep the site running. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics, and we never sell or share what you give us.

What we keep

• Your invitation. The name you were invited by (usually a first name) and a private link that opens your own garden.
• Your garden. Your trees and everything you do to them, the names you give them, how you arrange your garden, and the pictures the game takes of your trees for their journals. These are pictures of the game, never from your camera.
• Sign-in, in the newest test version (v1.tendwellgames.com). You get an account number when you start playing. If you choose to save your garden with your email address, that address is kept by Google's Firebase sign-in service, which sends you the sign-in emails.
• Short technical logs. Our server notes each visit: the time, your internet address, the page asked for and the kind of browser. Invitation links are never written into them. We use the logs only to keep the site working and safe, and they are deleted automatically within two months.

What stays on your device

One small cookie keeps you in your garden, so you don't need your link every time. The game also remembers a few settings, such as whether the music is on. None of this is used to follow you anywhere else.

What we don't do

• No advertising, tracking or analytics, and no scripts from other companies on these pages.
• We don't ask for your camera, microphone, contacts or location.
• We don't sell, rent or share your information, and we don't use it to train AI.

Where it lives

On our own server at Google Cloud in Oregon, USA, reached only over an encrypted connection. Copies of the server are kept for 14 days as a safety net. Sign-in for the newest version is handled by Google Firebase.

Your choices

You can stop playing at any time. If you would like your garden, your invitation and any sign-in account deleted, or would like a copy of what we hold, write to us and we will do it. Deleted things are gone from the backups within 14 days.
